Walter Williams Hall Dedicated
In 1935, Gov. Guy B. Parks broke ground on Walter Williams Hall while Dean Frank L. Martin (right) and crowd watched (top photo). Walter Williams Hall, a $150,000 facility completed with Public Works Administration funds, was dedicated May 10, 1937, during Journalism Week. The journalism arch was built to connect Neff Hall to the new building.

Alumni and officials dedicated Walter Williams Hall with a bronze plaque (middle photo). The new building and journalism arch (bottom photos) spanned the northeast corner of Francis Quadrangle.
