Mott Named Dean
|
Dr. Frank L. Mott became the third dean of the Missouri School of Journalism on Aug. 1, coming from the State University of Iowa. He was the School's first dean with a doctorate and was a renowned historical researcher, having won the 1939 Pulitzer Prize in history for his multivolume work, A History of American Magazines.
Dean Frank L. Mott (top) was known for his bowtie and his History and Principles of Journalism course. He welcomed Associated Press correspondent Hal Boyle, BJ '32, back to campus in 1947 (bottom).
