|
The World Press Congress, held March 2-4, was the pinnacle of the School's 50th anniversary celebration and featured 100 delegates from 35 countries throughout the world, including the United States. Before the Congress, delegates were guests of their American hosts, who introduced the delegates to American life.
The World Press Congress (top) united delegates of all nationalities for three days of discussions. Among many attendees were John Day of CBS (center, left), Hugh Boyd of the New Brunswick (N.J.) Home News (center, right) and Ben Gilbert of the Washington Post (bottom, center). Carlos Mantilla from Ecuador (bottom, right) enjoyed time with student host Kathy Shannon.
