Professional Project Master's Offered
|
The faculty approved a master's degree plan requiring a total of 36 hours of graduate credit and a professional project in lieu of a thesis. Bureaus were opened in Brussels, Belgium, where students reported on the Common Market and NATO; Washington, D.C., where they covered Congress and the campaign trail; and Buffalo, N.Y., where they studied scientific and technical writing.
Under the new professional project master's option, student Victor Sasson interviewed Texas Sen. John Tower in Washington, D.C. (top); Brussels reporters visited a European Atomic Energy Community installation (center) and a castle in Ghent, Belgium (bottom, left); and student Warren King met with Missouri Sen. Stuart Symington at the Capitol (bottom, right).
