School Celebrated 75th Anniversary


 
The Missouri School of Journalism celebrated its 75th Anniversary with celebrations during Journalism Week and a Distinguished Alumni Lecture Series that featured: Saul Pett, BJ '40, of The Associated Press; Heath Meriwether, BJ '66, of the Miami Herald; Jerry Friedheim, BJ '56, MA '62, of the American Newspaper Publishers Association; Ron Martin, BJ '59, of USA Today; and Tom Morgan, BJ '73, of the Washington Post.

The 75th Anniversary activities culminated with J-Week '84 and included memorabilia, a critique of media coverage by Democratic presidential hopeful Jesse Jackson and toasts to the School's anniversary at famed local hangout The Shack.
