A renewed commitment
to scholarship characterized the 90s. With the addition of five endowed chairs, two prominent research centers and several six-figure grants, the School's faculty and graduate students increased research productivity. Meanwhile, the International Programs office gained strength, and Missouri Journalism media ventured into new territory - the World Wide Web.

Vox, an arts and culture magazine, was the result of the Missourian's merge of Weekend, an entertainment weekly, and Ideas, the Sunday magazine.
1995
Lee Hills Hall, honoring the former student and first president of Knight Ridder news service, housed the Missourian newsroom and the photojournalism sequence.
