Vox Magazine Founded

Vox was founded in the spring of 1998 when the Columbia Missourian merged its two weeklies: Weekend, an entertainment magazine, and Ideas, the Sunday magazine. Magazine journalism students, under the supervision of faculty editors, wrote and produced the city arts and entertainment weekly.

Magazine students learned to cover the arts and entertainment scene by working for Vox, the Missourian's new weekly magazine (top). One Vox cover from 1998 showcased some of the feature stories of that time (bottom).
