When You First Arrive: Check-In Information
You can use the "check in only" street parking on the west side of Ninth Street near the Missouri Journalism complex. Parking staff will allow you to pull in, park for about 10 minutes while you gather your registration packet and parking permit, and then direct you to parking in Hitt Street garage, about one block from the J-School.
For security reasons, the person who made the registration must present a photo ID to claim his/her registration packet, per University policy.
Daytime Check In
8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sept. 10-12, Neff Hall Student Lounge
The check-in desk will be located in the student lounge on the first floor of Jay H. Neff Hall. There, you will be able to pick up your packet, which includes your nametag(s) and ticket(s) to any meal events purchased. There also will be an information table where you can ask questions, pick up the event program and gather maps of the campus or the city of Columbia.
Evening Check In
5:30 to 8 p.m., Sept. 10 and Sept. 12, Mizzou Arena
For those guests not arriving until the evening activities beginning at 6 p.m. on Sept. 10 and Sept. 12, check in will be available in Mizzou Arena during the hours stated above.
Parking During Your Stay on Campus
If you are bringing a vehicle to campus, please ask the staff at the check-in desk for a parking tag for the Hitt Street garage, located one block east of the J-School at the corner of Hitt and Elm streets. This tag allows registrants to park on any level at any time. If you requested handicapped parking, you will receive further instructions during check in.
Registration Additions and Changes
All new registrations and registration additions/changes must be made on site at the check-in desk in Neff Hall with the MU Conference Office staff. The deadline has passed to call or fax your registration. You can register additional guests at the event if you choose to do so, although additional tickets to the meal events will be offered on an availability-only basis. Note: The Sept. 10 J-School Barbecue Bash is sold out.
Scholarly Symposium
Guests who registered in advance for the Wednesday, Sept. 10, Scholarly Symposium need to check in at the Neff Hall student lounge prior to the noon start of the symposium. Your luncheon ticket will be included in your packet. The Scholarly Symposium will be held at Reynolds Alumni Center.
Commemorative Book
All registrants to the centennial/dedication celebration are eligible to receive a free, full-color commemorative book, to be published after the celebration. If you have not paid the $10 shipping/handling fee to obtain your book, please contact the MU Conference Office representatives at the check-in desk.
The full slate of events and activities is available at http://journalism.missouri.edu/2008/. If you have additional questions, please e-mail jour2008@missouri.edu.
