Alumni, Faculty Connect at School-Sponsored Reception in San Francisco

San Francisco (Aug. 19, 2015) — Several hundred Missouri School of Journalism alumni, faculty, students and friends attended a sponsored reception during the annual meeting of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication.

During the four-day meeting in San Francisco, members of the group presented 99 peer-reviewed papers – 11 of them having received top research awards.

In addition, 30 of the Missouri scholars served as moderators, discussants, panelists and workshop leaders. More than 1,600 scholars from the U.S. and abroad registered for the conference.

The School’s new dean, David Kurpius, congratulated the group for their many accomplishments. Fritz Cropp, associate dean for global programs, introduced Kurpius before the brief program.
