What do you do?
I am a producer, editor and photographer in the WSET-TV commercial production department. I put together commercials, and I produce four-to-five minute taped segments for a daily talk show and for special productions, such as the Muscular Dystrophy Association Telethon, Children’s Miracle Network Telethon and the Commonwealth Games.

How did you get your job?
I worked in the WSET news department for years.

What is the best professional lesson you learned at the J-School?
Journalism is your life. You must sacrifice other things to work as a journalist.

What advice do you have for current students?
Always strive for perfection.

What is your favorite J-School memory?
Being told by one faculty member to think about changing my major, and then consulting another faculty member who said not to change it. I went on to get A’s in all my subsequent broadcast classes and spent 20 years in the business!
