I work with small and medium businesses (SMBs) who have automated their search engine marketing efforts to help them advertise more effectively in Microsoft adCenter. How did you get your job? After careers in technical communication, Web development, software quality assurance and e-commerce management, search engine marketing is the next new frontier calling my name. What do you enjoy about your job? I love my job. I enjoy every day. Just going to work puts me in a good mood. My job also involves helping people figure out that technology is not supposed to be frustrating. What would be your best advice for current students? For today's students I believe it is imperative that they understand how people consume information today. There are so many differences in how people even read the news compared to the past. Being tech savvy is important in today's world. You can't be afraid of technology and expect to succeed. Best professional lesson learned at the J-School? Missouri taught me strategic writing skills. Efficient communication is everything, and I believe I got a strong education in that at Missouri. How did you get your job? I'm a typical Generation-X'er. I've had many careers. However, I chose my current profession because I needed to find something constant.
