What do you do?
I assist clients in managing their advertising efforts. I work specifically with our GM client, managing print, radio, and television for Chevy, GMC, Cadillac, Buick, and Pontiac to name a few. I also assist our events team in managing events for our GM clients.

How did you get your job?
A friend of mine who works in the Oakland office of the agency told me they were lookng for good people and she told HR about me. I sent her my resume, she forwarded it to HR, and they called me. They flew me to Chicago to interview with 5 people. A few weeks later I received an offer.

Best professional lesson learned at the J-School?
Always be creative, even when it seems that there is no room for it in the project.

What would be your best advice to current students?
Pick your professors' brains every chance you get. Go to office hours and develop relationships with the professors that you respect the most. Most of them love their job and love teaching and molding the future of the business world. Passionate people are great teachers.

What is one thing you wish you had done?
I have no regrets regarding the J-School. I had great internships and student projects. I worked hard enough and did good work. As far as my overall MU experience is concerned, I wish I had joined more student organizations at MU overall. Once I was in the J-School I gave up on the rest of the university for the most part.
