Karla Redditte, MA '02, is a reporter/weekend anchor with WLOX-TV in Biloxi, Miss. Redditte has been with the station since September, 02 and says she always will be very grateful for the education she received at the J-School. Her advice to the current and prospective journalism students is that with the Mizzou education, "you will never have to wonder whether or not you are prepared for the real world. You will be more than prepared! Take it from me."

Youjin Choi, PhD '03, has been awarded a five-year, $1.5 million grant from the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR), a sub-division of the National Institute of Health. The title of the grant is "Reducing Oral Cancer Disparities in Florida." Choi is an assistant professor in the Department of Public Relations at the University of Florida in Gainesville.

Nia Lawrence, BJ '03, is a designer with The Charlotte Observer in Charlotte, N.C.
Danielle McClure, BJ '03, is editorial assistant with Black & White magazine in Birmingham, Ala.

Usefi says that "through the mafia, I had my tape looked at by the News Director within one week of sending it in...and two weeks later, I was flown out for my interview and offered the job. I would love to be able to help anyone looking for a job in TV news the same way other mafia members helped me."
