Degree and Year: BJ '84 Company: A.G. Edwards Inc. Company Web Site: http://www.agedwards.com/ Title: Project Manager City and State: St. Louis, Mo. What do you do? Corporate communications. How did you get your job? I replied to a newspaper ad. Best professional lesson learned at J-School? Copy editing skills. What would be your best advice to current students? Don't be afraid to ask questions. Clear writing begins with asking good questions and not stopping until you can explain what you've learned to someone else so they can understand too. What makes you good at your job? The ability to translate information from experts and make it understood and interesting to a lay audience. What do you consider to be your greatest professional achievement? Winning an international competition for the best company annual report. What is your secret to success? I was a solid J-School student but not a standout. However, I've had a very successful career because I've been humble, willing to learn and have passion for my work.
