JOY MAYER is the design editor for the Columbia Missourian. She oversees designers for the Missourian's print publications, and for ColumbiaMissourian.com. She teaches News Design, Online Journalism and Multimedia Planning and Design.
Before joining the Missourian staff in 2003, Joy was a designer, section editor and copy editor for the Sarasota Herald-Tribune and the Wichita Eagle. She graduated with a journalism degree from the University of Oklahoma.
