Life at the J-School

There Is Always Something Going On

Edited by Nathan Allen
Master's Student

Time-Lapse: October 2010 at the J-School

View live feed from J-School Webcam.

There is always something going at the School, from learning about awards our students have won and new research findings to students traveling to professional conferences and hosting outstanding guest speakers. Just in October, for example, journalism senior Joshua Barone was named the best intern in the Dow Jones News Fund's summer copy editing program; members of the Society of Professional Journalists attended the national convention in Las Vegas; and two graduate students participated in the 2010 European Union press trip in Brussels, Belgium.

But life at the School also includes covering community stories for our media outlets, brainstorming great campaign ideas for clients and getting together with J-friends at socials.

Captured in this feature is a snapshot of life at the Missouri School of Journalism: Highlights of the semester, an on-the-ground review of activities and what the month looked like from the webcam. Enjoy!
