Broadcast news students learn how to write news, shoot video, produce and edit while working at KOMU, the only university-owned commercial television station in the country that uses its newsroom as a working lab for students, and at KBIA, the University's highly successful national public radio station. This unique and effective approach to teaching and learning is called the Missouri Method: hands-on training combined with innovative theories in journalism to produce exceptional graduates in the field of journalism.
