Although broadcast news students may spend a lot of time in the digital television editing lab at KOMU-TV or the audio editing suite at KBIA-FM, it's only a fraction of the day's action. Students are up early to anchor the 6 a.m. news at KOMU and the local "Morning Report" on KBIA, followed by time spent in class learning the latest journalistic techniques. Later, students are off to more interviews and editing in order to prepare for tomorrow's deadline.
