Giles serves as a user support analyst for J-Net, the Missouri School of Journalism's technology services.

Lynda Kraxberger, a convergence faculty member, characterized Giles' contributions to the School as both caring and creative in her nomination letter.

"I have yet to hear of a faculty member who hasn't had a good experience when receiving help from Justin," she said.

Giles' supervisor was very pleased that Giles received the school-wide recognition.

"Justin's ability to teach and explain complex technology to the faculty and staff in simple terms is a great asset to the School," said John Meyer, J-Net systems administrator.

This is the 16th year that the "Pat on the Back" award has been given. Those nominated exhibit the highest level of professionalism, innovative thinking, initiative and creativity, helpfulness, support of the School's mission and a commitment to the School and the University.
