Satisfactory Academic Progress

Satisfactory Academic Progress

MU Graduate School regulations about comprehensive examinations, dissertations, plans of study, residency, continuous registration and other matters are specified in the general section on doctoral degrees in the MU Graduate School catalog. Students are expected to meet all MU Graduate School requirements and deadlines. Doctoral students may be continuously enrolled while working on the dissertation for an absolute maximum of five years.

Doctoral students’ academic records will be reviewed regularly to ensure that satisfactory progress is being made. Review results will be sent to the student and his or her adviser, and a copy will be placed in the student’s file.
