From 1998 to 2000, Christie was the international creative director for D'Arcy in Amsterdam, leading teams in London, Paris, Hamburg and Copenhagen. She developed strategy and creative for print, outdoor and television campaigns for brands including Mars Bar, Twix, Uncle Ben's Rice and pet foods. For 11 years, Christie also served as senior vice president and group creative director at DMB&B (D'Arcy Masius Benton and Bowles), St. Louis, where she headed a group of 25 creative directors, writers and art directors and was a leader in new business efforts. From 1983 to 1987, she was vice president and group creative director for Gardner Advertising in St. Louis. Christie also has been a freelance writer for the Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and most recently, BusinessWeek Small Biz magazine. She is a member of American Society of Journalists and Authors and has won many awards, including Communication Arts, Cannes, Addy, New York Festivals, One Show and London International. Christie earned a bachelor's degree in English from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Mo., and a master's degree in international affairs from Washington University in St. Louis.
