GRANT HODDER came to the Columbia Missourian in 2002 after working for 15 years as a freelancer, reporter and assistant sports editor at the Daily Herald in suburban Chicago, Ill. At the Daily Herald, his assignments included helping cover the 1985 Bears' Super Bowl season and Michael Jordan's start in the NBA. Hodder also has worked as a photographer for the Associated Press after studying photojournalism at the School in the 1980s. After returning to Missouri, he completed his Bachelor of Journalism degree in 2003.
