PAT SMITH is managing editor of Global Journalist, published by the Missouri School of Journalism. She also teaches the Global News Across Platforms class, the basic News class and serves on graduate students’ professional projects committees. Smith has more than 30 years of journalism experience and has worked on newspapers and magazines as an editor, reporter, writer, and art director. She currently serves on the executive board of the International Press Institute. Smith earned a bachelor of science degree from the University of Nebraska and a master of arts degree from the University of Missouri.
