STANLEY SCHARTZ is the senior editor of the National Newspaper Association and adjunct associate professor at the Missouri School of Journalism. He has been associated with NNA for 20 years, and has been managing editor of the association's trade newspaper, Publishers' Auxiliary, for the last 10 years. NNA, representing nearly 3,000 community newspapers nationwide, moved its headquarters to the Missouri School of Journalism in 2002.
