They Received a Combined Total of $11,500 During a Luncheon at the International Photography Hall of Fame

St. Louis (July 6, 2016) — The St. Louis Press Club and the Journalism Foundation of Metropolitan St. Louis have awarded scholarships to six Missouri School of Journalism students.

The students received a combined total of $11,500 during the scholarship luncheon held June 30 at the International Photography Hall of Fame in St. Louis.

The recipients are:

  • Julia Terbrock, from O’Fallon, Missouri, received the $5,000 Press Club and St. Louis Post-Dispatch David Lipman Scholarship. The annual scholarship was established in 2009 in memory of David Lipman, BJ ’53, a longtime reporter and editor for the paper.
  • Meredith McGrath, from Brentwood, Missouri, received the $2,000 Press Club Neiman Marcus Media Scholarship.
  • Jacob Kornhauser, from Crystal Lake, Illinois, received the $1,500 Baseball Writers’ Association-St. Louis Chapter Journalism Foundation Scholarship.
  • Lauren Pike, from St. Charles, Missouri, received the $1,000 Missouri Professional Communicators Journalism Scholarship.
  • Joseph Schneider, from Bridgeton, Missouri, received a $1,000 scholarship.
  • Meredith Wright, from Kirkwood, Missouri, received the $1,000 Missouri Journalism Educators’ High School Student Journalist of the Year.
