Individual and School Achievements Represent the Highest Standards in Research, Multimedia, Writing and More

Columbia, Mo. (July 12, 2016) — Writing, design, research and more: For the second year in a row, Missouri School of Journalism students, faculty and staff earned more than 560 top awards, honors and other recognitions.

“I have been amazed time and again by the excellence of our J-School and the scope of our impact across the world,” said Dean David Kurpius, who completed his first year at the School on June 30. “We have so much for which to be proud and grateful – and a strong foundation on which we can build the next generation of our work.”

Among the listings for the 2015-16 academic year are a National Edward R. Murrow Award, top awards for peer-reviewed research and selections for competitive international programs.

Missouri students, faculty and staff were recognized for excellence by more than 100 international, national and regional organizations for writing, design, research, design, advertising, public relations, photography, editing and other areas. Only honors that were selected in competitions sponsored by outside organizations or those external to the School are included in the list.
