VeriCorder’s Olympic Trial

VeriCorder’s Olympic Trial

VeriCorder, a producer of mobile reporting tools, wanted to see how its products might be used in real life.

They sent two Missouri convergence journalism students, along with a faculty editor, to cover the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. The students used VeriCorder’s attachments and applications to create daily audio slideshows using just an Apple iPhone. The team also blogged about the experience and provided the company with valuable insights about what the equipment could do under the demands of daily sports reporting. The students, in turn, were able to experiment with cutting-edge technology while learning firsthand what it is like to cover one of the world’s biggest sporting events.
