JOSHUA BROWN began working for the University of Missouri in 2014 as a residence hall coordinator in Lathrop Hall, and later at College Avenue Hall. Brown joined the Missouri School of Journalism as an academic adviser in 2018. Prior to working at Mizzou, he earned a Master’s degree in college student personnel and administration at the University of Central Arkansas and a Bachelor’s degree in history/social studies at Western Kentucky University.

In his free time, Brown enjoys riding his bike on area trails. He recharges at home by reading, cooking, and relaxing with his family. If you want Brown to engage in a deep conversation, bring up American politics, anything related to social justice, or where to eat in Columbia. His favorite quote, from Muhammad Ali: “Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth.”
