SHANNON BURKE-KRANZBERG works on the School’s fund-raising efforts to support faculty, students, facilities and programs. Prior to joining the School of Journalism, she served as senior manager of National Engagement at First Book, a Washington, D.C.-based social enterprise that provides books and educational resources for children in need. Burke-Kranzberg also worked with corporate sponsors at the Partnership for Public Service, a nonprofit focused on improving the federal government through its human capital. Prior to that, she served two years as an AmeriCorps member at Habitat for Humanity in South Bend, Indiana. Burke-Kranzberg holds two degrees from the University of Missouri: a Bachelor of Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in political science. She also earned a Master of Arts degree in public administration from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
