John Yunker will be reading from his co-authored mystery novel, DEVILS ISLAND, at Skylark Bookshop in Columbia on Wednesday, November 13, at 6:30 p.m. DEVILS ISLAND (Oceanview Publishing, September 2024) was inspired by a hiking/camping trip Raymond and Yunker took in the Australian state of Tasmania. While their real-life journey was uneventful, in the novel, an Australian wilderness guide embarks on a four-day hike with six guests — and arrives at their destination with only two.

Raymond and Yunker will read excerpts from the book and talk about endangered Tasmanian devils and their role in the novel, the real-life places in the book, and how they co-wrote a mystery novel in which the murder and mayhem stayed (mostly) on the page.
