As a graduate of the Journalism School, you’ll join a network of journalists and strategic communicators who are working in every state in the U.S. and countries around the world.

The School of Journalism has several official social media channels that highlight J-School alumni, current students, faculty and staff; as well as awards, events and activities.

These channels include:

Make sure you “tag” the J-School in your social media post so we are aware of your achievements and it will give the School the opportunity to share your happy news with others via our official channels.

Interested in staying connected with other MU J-School alums? There are several options available to you.

  1. The University of Missouri’s alumni organization has active chapters that operate individual Facebook pages. You can start getting connected to these various chapters via the Missouri Alumni Association’s (MAA) website.
  2. There are many informal groups run by various alumni or faculty that you can connect with via Facebook. These groups are individualized by area of interest and you can request to join via a simple direct message (DM) to the group. Whether your interest lies in strategic communication, broadcast journalism, documentary journalism, magazine, print and digital, or something else, search on Facebook to discover all the various Mizzou Mafia groups that have been created by alumni and/or J-School faculty, for alumni. (Note: a search on Sept. 27, 2020 came up with Mizzou Mafia, Mizzou print and magazine alums, Mizzou convergence grads & friends, Mizzou Broadcast Journalism Alumni, etc…)
  3. Tell us, and your fellow alumni, what you are up to. Please feel free to submit a “Class Note.”
