How did you get your job?

I got my masters in Public Policy Studies from the University of Chicago. Later worked for Governor Jim Thompson as his budget analyst for Illinois DOT.

What is the best professional lesson you learned at the J-School?

How to be accurate and fair. Also, how to produce quality work on deadline.

What advice do you have for current students?

Realize that life’s a journey that is stranger and unpredictable than you can imagine. Be open to unexpected opportunities!

What is your favorite J-School memory?

Being told to quit J-School by George Kennedy. Lol
