Carolyn Murray, BJ ’76, an editor at The (Myrtle Beach, S.C.) Sun News since 2000, was named editor and vice president for news in March. Murray has been a journalist since 1977, after graduating from the University of Missouri, Columbia. She started as a reporter in St. Joseph, Mo., and held a variety of reporting and editing positions including at the St. Louis Globe-Democrat, The Associated Press’ Los Angeles bureau, the St. Louis Sun and the Charlotte Observer.
