James A. Harnar, BJ '75

James A. Harnar, BJ ’75, retired in mid-2015 after 30-plus years in the health sector in Maine, including 10 years as founder and CEO of a nonprofit health leadership academy. Harnar also retired from the U.S. Navy as a Captain (2006) with 25 years of active duty and reserve service. He now lives most of the year in Santa Fe, New Mexico, returning to sail in Maine each summer. Harnar enjoys the retired lifestyle with his wife Kathleen, including hiking, skiing, sailing and exploring the West.
