In August 2016, Jim McCarty, BJ ’84, spent 17 days in Bolivia documenting the efforts of 16 line workers who volunteered to build power lines to bring electricity to two Bolivian villages. He authored “A Brighter Bolivia” based on the experience. The book, the 15th one McCarty has written, includes about 100 photos from the trip. Proceeds from the book will go toward the next international electrification project.
