Justin Kollar, BJ ’18

Justin Kollar (BJ ’18) is an anchor and reporter for WCSC Live 5 News in Charleston, South Carolina. This year, he received multiple honors from the Radio Television Digital News Association of the Carolinas (RTDNAC), including First Place in the Social Reform category for his reporting on hate crime legislation in the South Carolina State House, and Second Place awards for Breaking News and Community Impact coverage. Justin was also recognized by the South Carolina Broadcasters Association (SCBA) with the 2025 STAR Award for Personality of the Year and First Place for Best Weather/Science Reporting – TV for his underwater feature “The Battle Beneath: Lionfish, Legends, and the Julionfish Festival.” He recently celebrated ten years in broadcast journalism.
