Kristen DiFate, MA ’13, was among the 104 St. Louis-area educators honored at the 2013 Emerson Excellence in Teaching Awards on Nov. 10. She is an assistant professor at Webster University and teaches advertising and marketing communications. Recipients were selected by their schools’ administration to celebrate their achievements and dedication to the teaching profession. A ceremony and reception where recipients received Tiffany’s Crystal Apples was held at the Ritz-Carlton. Emerson is a diversified global manufacturer and technology leader headquartered in St. Louis and its charitable trust gave $9.5 million to 640 educational organizations and institutions globally for the year ending September 2013. Earlier this year, DiFate received the William T. Kemper Award for Excellence in Teaching.
