Michelle (Micki) Grimm Carter, BJ ’66

The second book by Michelle (Micki) Grimm Carter, BJ ’66, will be released Sept. 1, 2017, by Bedazzled Ink Publishers. Entitled “From Under the Russian Snow,” the book is a memoir that covers the year Carter left her job as managing editor of a San Francisco Bay Area daily to serve as the USIA Journalist-in-Residence in Russia; she has been working in and writing about Russia for 30 years. Carter’s first book, “Children of Chernobyl; Raising Hope From the Ashes” (Augsburg, 1993) focused on relief efforts after the reactor meltdown at Chernobyl.
