Steven Brown, BJ ’61, MA ’63

Steven R. Brown, BJ’61, MA’63, retired in 2011 after 44 years in the Department of Political Science at Kent State University. Prior to his retirement, he was presented with a Kappa Tau Alpha award for service in journalism and mass communication and won lifetime achievement awards from the International Society of Political Psychology and the International Society for the Scientific Study of Subjectivity. He has now resumed teaching in the program in evaluation and measurement in the Kent State University Graduate School of Education, Health, and Human Services. He and his wife Casey have recently adopted their six-year-old great-granddaughter Alexis and are reprising young adulthood. Brown also earned his doctorate from the University of Missouri in 1968.
