Tripp Stelnicki, BJ ’14, is the City Hall and county reporter at the Santa Fe New Mexican, the oldest newspaper west of the Mississippi, which has won the top prize for large dailies in the state five of the past six years, as decided by the New Mexico Press Association. Stelnicki covered the city’s five-way 2018 election to become the capital city’s first strong mayor as well as the legal wrangling that produced the city’s new ranked-choice voting format.
