William Foster Hooten Jr., BJ ’50, died Oct. 2. Hooten was a veteran of both the U.S. Navy (1944-46) and the U.S. Army (1950-52). His love for MU and its journalism program inspired he and his wife to set up a scholarship program in 2013. Hooten is survived by his wife, Joanne Jeans Hooten, BA ’49 (Education).
