David Bradley is the publisher of the St. Joseph News-Press and the St. Joseph Gazette. In 1946, he joined the papers as national advertising manager. During his 36 year connection with the papers, he has served as secretary-treasurer, production manager, publisher, president and chairman of the board.

Although Bradley’s journalism career has centered on St. Joseph, Mo., his activities reach far beyond the local sphere. Bradley has served three terms as Director of the Associated Press, represented AP at the African-American conference in Africa and was part of an AP delegation of directors who made a good-will visit to the People’s Republic of China in 1977.

Bradley is a member of the American Newspaper Publishers Association, the American Society of Newspaper Editors and the American Press Institute.
