Anuja KC

Doctoral Student

Anuja KC is a first-year PhD student at the Missouri School of Journalism with a focus on health communication and big data. Her academic and research interests lie at the intersection of health communication, data-driven storytelling, and public interest journalism. She is passionate about exploring how data can be used to inform, engage, and empower communities, especially in the context of public health.

Anuja holds a Master’s degree in Journalism and a Graduate Certificate in Public Relations from the University of North Texas (2024), as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Waldorf University (2021).

In addition to her academic pursuits, Anuja has worked at a local news station in Rochester, MN, where she contributed to producing and directing on-air news. She has also worked as a social media and marketing coordinator for several small businesses, helping to enhance their online presence and engage audiences more effectively.

A native of Nepal, Anuja enjoys spending time with her family, savoring homemade meals, and traveling. She also enjoys working on graphic design projects and has recently discovered a new hobby in reading.
