Casey Bennett

Originally from Normal, Illinois, Casey Bennett transferred to Mizzou for the Spring 2023 semester to pursue a degree in broadcast journalism and he has come to love the culture of the university and the Mid-Missouri area. 

Bennett has always been fascinated with television broadcast. Within his first few weeks at Mizzou, he joined the Missouri Broadcast Operations team contributing to broadcasts of all university sports. He has always had a passion for sports, playing on Mizzou’s Club Baseball team. He came to Mizzou looking to go into sports broadcast.

However, that sports broadcasting dream took a backseat in the Fall 2024 semester when he began working at KOMU through classes. Bennett grew to love the process of the news day while serving as a producer, then later a reporter and anchor as well. He has developed a passion for story developing and editing.

In his free time, you can find him spending time with friends, going to the gym and watching sports. Bennett wants it to be known that he bleeds Cubbie blue and am a passionate member of Broncos country.
