Kara Cheslock is an Academic Advisor in the Missouri School of Journalism. She transferred over to the School in August of 2023 after serving in the Transfer Center. She earned undergraduate degrees in Political Science and International Studies-Peace Studies, with minors in French and Women and Gender Studies.

Having felt like her time at Mizzou was cut short due to the pandemic, she decided to pursue a master’s degree in Atlantic History and Politics through the Kinder Institute on Constitutional Democracy, which she completed in May of 2022. In her free time, Kara enjoys reading, traveling, watching hockey and spending time at Skylark Bookshop downtown.
