KRISTEN DAVIS joined the Journalism Professions group in February 2023. She fulfils a variety of tasks to improve operations at the Missouri School of Journalism’s One Newsroom and the journalism school as a whole.

A Louisville, Kentucky, native, Kristen earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri. Her concentration was broadcast television producing. As a student, she gained real-world experience reporting and producing at KOMU.

After graduation, Kristen spent several years with Hearst Television. She produced newscasts for WLWT in Cincinnati, Ohio, and KMBC in Kansas City, Missouri. Her writing and presentation skills, coupled with an excellent news judgement, earned her an Emmy nomination from the Mid-America Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
