Leslie Patrie serves as the Senior Human Resources Consultant for the School of Journalism and the Academic HR Specialist for Human Resource Services in Jesse Hall. Patrie joined the School of Journalism in January 2023, but has worked for Human Resource Services since 2015.

Prior to working at the University of Missouri she focused her career in non-profit conservation organizations.  Highlights were interning at the Jane Goodall Institute and working as the administrative and finance coordinator for the Sierra Club in Washington, DC.

Patrie earned an honors BA in anthropology from the University of Toronto – Mississauga and a MSc in Primate Conservation from Oxford Brookes University, in Oxford, England.

In her spare time, Patrie enjoys spending time with her spouse and daughter, traveling to as many new places as possible, and playing with her two dogs and one cat.
