Journalism Course Transfer Policies
The School of Journalism accepts up to 12 journalism credits transferred from other accredited journalism programs or from Missouri colleges with which the School of Journalism has articulation agreements. Courses that are not part of an established agreement may be accepted on a case-by-case basis by the associate dean for undergraduate studies.
Requests for consideration can be sent to email@example.com. The request must include the course syllabus or syllabi.
It is recommended that students who are considering transferring to the School of Journalism request a pre-approval to enroll in journalism-related courses at another college or university to ensure transferability.
The request should include the course syllabus. Requests for pre-approval can be sent to Journalism Student Services firstname.lastname@example.org.
Students planning a campus visit are welcome to meet with a Missouri Journalism School academic adviser to discuss how transfer credits will apply to the journalism curriculum.
Office visits can be requested through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions Campus Visits.
Phone appointments can be scheduled by calling Journalism Student Services at 573-882-1045 at least two business days ahead of the visit.
