Nancy Jones, PhD ’67, recently received the Service to Journalism Award for contributions to the field of journalism at the annual Golden Quills Awards banquet in Pittsburgh. During her career, she wrote for the Daily Press in Newport News, Va.; the Miami Herald; and the Associated Press in Louisville, Ky. She also taught journalism at Penn State University, Duquesne University, and finally Point Park College where she retired in 1996 after serving as the chair of the department of journalism and communications.
