Paula Hrbacek, BJ ’77, won first place in an international writing contest sponsored by Echoes to the Right of God magazine. It was published in the March 2011 edition that can be viewed online. She is also now a columnist for Examiner.com, covering children’s arts and crafts. Hrbacek’s stories combine her love of writing with her love of crafts, 15 years of being involved in scouts, and becoming certified to teach art. The articles include easy craft projects, art lesson plans, local events and book reviews. The projects are suitable to after school care programs, elementary schools, youth groups such as scouts, summer camps and parents.
